Editorial Work Experience

Anness Publishing Ltd occasionally take on graduate interns within the Editorial department, for placements from two weeks up to a month or more, in both our London and Bath offices. You would assist a busy team with all manner of basic editorial and administrative tasks, working closely with the Publisher, a large team of editors and the editorial assistant. Typical duties will include photocopying, picture research, fact-checking and updating, information sourcing, responding to submissions, issuing complimentary copies of titles, simple quark work and more.

Our ideal candidate will be confident in handling a large workflow with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure and prioritising their workload accordingly. They would be happy to muck in with every aspect of editorial and office work and not need too much hand-holding. Aptitude with the Microsoft Office package, Quark Xpress, Outlook and internet research, plus familiarity with Apple Mac, would all be useful skills if not essential. Work experience is unpaid but a contribution is made to expenses.
